Holy moly dreamland! I’ve been waiting to share this fairytale wedding until that magazine published it! You can find this whimsical wedding in Issue 13 of Magnolia Rouge! Brodie and Scott had one dreamy vision – between their love for music, books and her family’s Sonoma County apple orchard…this is one wedding I’ll never forget. Since moving to Guerneville, CA 15 months ago from San Francisco, we’ve discovered just how magical the Russian River Resort area is. You can’t beat this Northern California getaway, it’s warm summer months that actually allow you to SWIM in WATER! Ha! Glamping, canoeing, floating, partying, foodie, coffee, biscuits, beaches, hiking, cycling, paddle boarding, tequila and whiskey bar, ice cream, pie AND our lifestyle goods shop called Commerce Fine Goods for hip home goods and novelties just to name a few activities. And it’s just as dreamy in the foggy winters full of rain, perfect to catch up on your favorite book, board game and candlelit dinner in your camp socks all for a winter discount ;). Rumor on the street is that we’ve got a few more cool things popping up in the area that you won’t want to miss out on in the next year. Sure, a bit grittier than our neighbor Healdsburg but you can’t beat this vibe…think Palm Springs meets Pacific Northwest. I can only imagine what it’ll morph into the next coming years!

I’ve frequently been asked where the hip places to stay are in the Guerneville area, and I’ve finally documented a few snaps of my 3 favorite places to stay – both vacation rentals and hotel. 1). The Crow’s Nest (technically 10 min away in Monte Rio), 2). Modern Mountain House , 3). Boon Hotel. I’ve been asked about our kaleidograph wedding invites a lot lately and now that our printed feature in Martha Stewart Magazine Spring 2015 issue has happened it’s time to share :) If you missed our Palm Springs wedding in print, see all the fun details online at MSW here. Our KNOCK OUT interactive invites were completely customized by our dearest friends Cheree Berry Paper. They are the paper rockstars of anything quirky, metallic and outside of the paper box. I love anything stationery related and because we only had 34 guests, they were able to truly customize many details…even the blush box that the pieces lay in. Amazing calligraphy by Nancy Hopkins covered a few pieces.
