I have been extremely fortunate to have been the wedding photographer of some of the best family orientated weddings ever! Shelby and Tony’s wedding proves that point! A very intimate day held at the Stanford Park Hotel in Menlo Park, CA (just south of San Francisco). Both families were so excited and very much a part of the planning and overall feel of the day. Shelby’s bridesmaids wrote best wishes on the bottoms of her shoes! Talk about creating positive energy around you. The mother of the groom (owner of Anjoma Couture) spent months designing and sewing Shelby’s dress as well. Incredibly detailed…it fit her like a glove. Flowers arranged by a family friend.

The ceremony and reception was held outside in the courtyard (Lots of beautiful vegetation and flowers!). The outdoor courtyard allowed the light for photography to gently transition with time (bright/vivid to soft) and some of the shots took on a softer light (which is perfect for skin tones). At night, the warm glow of the venue’s string lights helped capture the progression of the wonderful wedding.

I don’t think I even need to describe the feeling of the party! Everyone was very comfortable around each other, which allowed me to easily incorporate everyone’s personality in the wedding photography! The entire crowd was in constant motion and full of laughter - my kind of reception :)
