Wedding Receptions: Thrifty Table Settings!

Photo: Edyta Szyszlo Photography
I was at my local Salvation Army thrift store in Chicago the other day looking for old frames to display some of my wedding photography. During my rummaging, I came across all these old dishes!! I thought how adorable would it be if you could use mismatched, vintage-like plates for your table settings! So the digging started! If you’re looking for a charming way to provide table decor for your guests – this is it! The plates ranged in price between 50 cents and $2. Perfect if you’re hosting a small, intimate reception or if you’re looking to be creative within a budget! Once you’re done – donate them back or give away as gifts. More table setting photos…

That’s an awesome idea, I can’t believe you found those at a thrift store! You shold go into planning too, or do you already have a hand in some of that?

You have such a great eye! There is an article about DIY Weddings in the last issue of Adorn magazine. Many many awesomely thrifty ideas to mull over. If I ever decide to get married, mine will definitely be a DIY.
Ohhh…wait a sec…this is bad news! It looks like adorn’s website is offline…i wonder if this is the same situation as Blueprint? oh, I am so upset…
