It’s about time I finally shared this info with everyone! Your wedding album and any additional wedding keepsakes should have that extra care and touch. I’m sure many of you have done your homework when it comes to what each wedding photographer offers (if you haven’t - be sure to!), so it really comes down to preferred style. I offer each couple a custom album with every package, it’s important to have something nice to showcase off all that emotion and hard work put into your big day! All products offered for portraits too! (more…)

Friday!!! Hope you have a wonderful weekend! Yesterday, I helped another photography studio with post production and discovered this incredible unity candle alternative idea that the couple used. Instead of having the common unity candle lighting, the couple had a money tree at the altar with two tiny water pitchers. They each grabbed their pitcher and watered the tree. The money tree is said to bring good fortune and luck to those who place it in their home. I love this idea because you can keep the tree in your home without it screaming “wedding” like a engraved candle that would burn out. More ideas and traditions… (more…)

I want one just to have around the apartment! These ring pillow designs are breathtaking and the most unique I have ever seen. Most of us think of pillows (which are still classic and traditional) but how fun to have something completely different. I especially love the way they are displayed and photographed, very feminine and gentle. And the best part….very inexpensive for such custom work!! How incredibly cute! Dogs are being incorporated into weddings more and more so why not give him/her an official duty! Reggieana offers a variety of ring bearer pillows but this dog one featured above is by far my favorite! Has fall come early to Chicago?! It’s going to be in the 50s tonight - crazy. Don’t get me wrong, fall is my favorite season but it is Aug. 14th right? With the air crisp and the tree bugs cracking away, I was inspired to search for fall color palettes and textures for all those autumn weddings out there! La La Laurie Paper Creations by Laurie Cinotto say it best! The patterns, creatures and colors of these boutonnieres are simply to die for. I love the earth-tones mixed with a hit of vibrancy - very fall! I hope these inspire you as well!

Nope, not Pier 39 in San Francisco!! Try Navy Pier in Chicago! (by the way, I like to call them ‘lake gulls’) Just saying hello after a few of my fun-filled days with family visiting. We had an amazing time wandering the city and visiting the sites! The weather was perfect all week, reminded me of good ole SF. I hadn’t been to Navy Pier since I was super little, and I had a blast showing my younger sister and her friend around. I have to admit it’s nice to have a small break - it was much needed! But my tiny point and shoot camera did document our days :)

Catching up on my blog readings, I just had to share this! Christy of What Junebug Loves blog showcased some fun photo booth opportunities for your wedding guests. Actual photo booths are always a blast but don’t have the budget or access to one? There are plenty of ways to capture incredible memories of your guests being goofy and candid! Advice from a wedding photographer - without a doubt designate an area for the silliness to happen (even ask a friend to help). You want things to stay as organized as possible and make sure you are clear to your guests about the fun opportunity! If they don’t know about it, it won’t happen! Check out Junebug’s two posts (Creative Photo Booth Part 1 & Part 2) and hopefully they will inspire you to get a little crazy!
