Amazing couple, amazing weather….AMAZING wedding!  I photographed Kristyn and Doug’s wedding for Imaginative Studios and couldn’t have asked for a more fun day!  Kristyn and Doug, along with their close family and friends were so sweet and so generous.  You could tell that love was in the air and in the incredible blue skies that day!  Lots of images to look through - I just couldn’t pick a few!

They were married at Promontory Point on the southside of Chicago (on the lake I may add).  I think this area is often forgotten but it’s beauty is to die for!

Super cute!  Looking around the ceremony, I don’t think there was one person not crying from happiness for them!  And I especially love the simple elegance they both portrayed…their attire, decor and attitude.

The view directly outside!  Can’t beat it!  I believe I was told by one of their friends that 90% of the guests were from out of town…what a treat to view some of the best sites around Chicago!

Kristyn had an incredible vintage/antique feel about her dress and ring.  They laughed about how many times it took to get the ring just perfect!  She had the dress custom altered to her specific design.

We were able to spend some quality time taking intimate photos since they allotted so much time for site-seeing for their guests.  Trollies were provided for everyone to drive around the city to check out popular landmarks!

Just after this shot was taken, some little girls came up to them and asked to take a picture with them! Without a doubt, you should feel like celebrities on your big day!

I love this firehouse!  It was a last minute stop and I’m so happy they let me take them there!  Their expressions are priceless below…the fire truck had just pulled up with several firemen jumping out congratulating them!

Their reception details were simple and elegant.  The Rookery hosted their intimate event and Jewell Catering provided the wonderful food and table decor.  I especially love the escort cards with both of their childhood photographs on them!  The lighting in the glass vases gave such drama to the historic venue.
