During my errands yesterday, I decided to stop by the newly discovered thrift store in my neighborhood. I was specifically looking for a new luggage piece/album carrier but of course a purse, rosie shirt and 3 silk patterned scarves joined the pile :) More on the bag… (more…)

Monday. A little bitter since we got some random snow this weekend (those poor tulips) but as soon as I saw my kitties on Moderncat’s gallery this morning, I was happy again :) Desher and Boris = blue paws.

Good Friday! Yesterday, I ventured into Barnes & Noble to find a fast, low-calorie cook book. No way can I just go into a bookstore without flipping through my favorite magazines! I wanted to share two of my absolute favs with you, and hopefully you’ll feel the creative satisfaction that I do :) More info… (more…)

For some reason, I’ve been subscribed to Redbook magazine and have been receiving issues all year. While the ‘kid’ and ‘what’s your big plan’ articles stress me out a bit, they do have good tid-bits (more enjoyable with a cup of tea of course). Why…I wouldn’t have stumbled upon a new ice cream line by Häagen-Dazs with only 5 ingredients each and less calories :) It actually may sway my savory/salty liking to sweet sometime soon…

We’ve seen hairstyles with braids in the scene for a while now. I was reminded how much I adore the messy-out-of-your-face look when I saw a friend’s facebook pic recently. I can still french braid my own and sometimes wear messy braided pigtails. But I’ve always had one dilemma…I can’t seem to figure out how to do a side braid!! Oh why oh why! I do have bangs so I find that a challenge as well (on top of my fingers protesting). Wish me luck! Hair Brained, Cosmo, & A Braid Runs Through It.

I was so excited when I received my CB2 catalog in the mail yesterday! Spring is here, which means weddings are here, which means I wish I still lived in my old San Francisco apartment that had a fabulous view and private deck so that I could purchase springy items to put on that deck from CB2. the end :) OR almost better idea: if you are getting married you can register for these outdoor goodies!
