I am beyond words! Remy and Kevin decided to tie the knot in San Francisco – in a sweet, small and stylish manner. The day couldn’t have gone any more perfect! Travel day! Heading back to Chicago to knock out 2 gorgeous weddings, a product shoot and a commercial portrait shoot. Whew, I know. Posts will be a little light this week…I return Oct. 4th and turn right back around to LA the next day to photograph two catalogs :) But we’ll worry about that next week…ha!

Yup that’s right, I’m one year older today! And actually, now that I look at the clock I was just born 5 minutes ago (915 am). Things have been…ummm, words can’t describe hectic. It’s the busiest time of year for weddings along with the most popular time friends and family like to visit me…haha! So I promise to catch up, hopefully soon. If you know me and know me well…you know that I’m already obsessed with anything photographer Sharon Montrose produces (btw, check out out her husband’s new Etsy shop). But now…now I’m also gawking and totally obsessed with Catherine found via Twig & Thistle! I’m a sucker for prints, especially when used as backdrops, and when you combine that with animals I pretty much fall to the ground. You must see the rest of her work, must.

Grace and Geoff (view engagement) were an absolutely beautiful and smiley couple! Their wedding started the season of travels for me – flying back to Chicago from San Francisco many times until winter. And what a fantastic one to start it all off! They were completely smitten with one another and surrounded with fantastic family and friends. Thanks to Amy (my second photographer) for an incredible job! You’ll totally swoon over these images! The wedding I currently have in my post-production inspired this one! Since the days of rice throwing, weddings really haven’t had much action in the exit confetti department. Sure, it’s a hassle – from clean up, to wasteful and wedding budget-cuts…exit confetti has seen better days. As a photographer seeking action in my shots, confetti is a great way to add a little emotional punch to your wedding exit (ya it has historical tradition too). You can purchase biodegradable confetti here and here. You can also create your own with unique punch-outs or my favorite idea from dried herbs (lavender being most popular)!! Oooo la la! You can even sew cute little sachets with vintage fabric to add a colorful pop to hands of the aisle guests. I love this couple’s alternative with paper airplanes! Now you have no excuse :)
