Call it an Xmas present to myself! How was everyone’s holiday? I need a holiday from the holidays, yay for NYE! While out shopping for marketing crafts, I saw these adorable lights hanging from a store called New Asian Style in San Francisco’s Fillmore District. Fell.in.love. I bought the multi-colored strand for $20 but they had many monochromatic shades as well. Wouldn’t these be fantastic for a wedding reception, party or outdoor decor?! Then…. (more…)

As you can see I’ve been a little m.i.a for the holidays. A much needed break away from anything digital! I’m headed out of town today to celebrate some love with my family and will probably continue to be a little m.i.a until the New Year. I wish you and yours the merriest of holidays, which ever you celebrate. May your time with loved ones be filled with many kisses, hugs and tons of laughter. See you in 2010! (well unless there’s something fabulous to say before then :)

Ah, the adults crayon box. Pantone announced their 2010 color of the year! Pantone 15-5519! A little history session for those who are not design-oriented. “In 1963, Lawrence Herbert, Pantone’s founder, created an innovative system for identifying, matching and communicating colors to solve the problems associated with producing accurate color matches in the graphic arts community. His insight that the spectrum is seen and interpreted differently by each individual led to the innovation of the PANTONE® MATCHING SYSTEM®, a book of standardized color in fan format.”
What this means for you…well, you might see this color more often than not. Similar hues have hit the wedding industry, but I predict this hip color making more of a presence in weddings with other hip colors such as poppy, burnt orange and mustard yellow! Also, I’ve been eyeing the Pantone mugs for the last year after I saw them at Sprout Home but can’t justify the expense :) Would make a good gift! Color on! ps – all pantone dinnerware on sale here.
