Wow, I hate to be lame, but I can’t say much about why I took these photos! Let’s just say there’s a ’secret project’ and a ‘pinky swear project’, both are different and oh-so fun! I guess I can say that I did a mini photo shoot yesterday of a spring-clean rustic on a budget theme centerpiece for your wedding table, but I can’t say what for :) (maybe I’ll be able to show the images for inspiration anyway, will keep you posted) Hopefully it will be good news later! What are you up to this weekend? We have family in town so I’m off to start my fun!

Hello there! Thought I’d share what I’ve been working on the past few days (anyone hear the crickets? hehe). I had the pleasure of photographing stock images for the San Francisco School of Massage’s new website. This is just a little sneak peak since I didn’t want to give away too much before they unveil their new site. So many great shots were taken of students and instructors along with massage interaction, probably the most peaceful shoot I’ve ever had! It was amazing! So here are some of my favorites (without giving away anyone’s identity). FYI, lots of secret projects on the horizon…I’ll do my best to share what I can! (more…)

After squeaking in excitement from viewing these images, it all came to me…these secret weddings, elopements and smaller weddings seem to be popping up more than usual. I’ve even photographed more in the last few months than ever. So this post isn’t just about showing the most adorable secret wedding (you’ll die when you see the details) in Central Park but proving that these intimate affairs are on the rise in 2010! You can probably thank the budgets and appreciation for intimate romantic settings for this trend ;)

Can you believe how many recognized holidays/events are happening this weekend?! Lunar Chinese New Year, President’s Day, Mardi Gras festivities, etc. But the big’ole day of love is also playing a part this weekend. I plan on spending it with my main squeeze relaxing with the kitties. Spreading the gushy lovey doveys all around (doveys looks better than dovies). Don’t forget to tell the ones you love just how much you love them! XOXOXOXO!

I realize that most of the country is getting hit by snow but here in SF it sure feels like spring! Spring cleaning itch! This week I had the pleasure of photographing a very charming small wedding affair in St. Helena (just north of Napa). I have to admit, while it’s easy to label it an elopement because this couple whisked away to wine country from Texas…they did bring their immediate family. Someone want to help me coin a new term for the ‘inbetween’ elopement and wedding?! In the meantime, these images will give you the spring that you need! Stunning! (more…)

I’m doing dandy! Things have been a little hectic since my return home…inquiries, email catch-up, lots of new events and ideas on the rise…my brain won’t shut off! Yesterday, I had the pleasure photographing an elopement in St. Helena! The sun was shining, the mustard colored wildflowers were in plenty! Who said wine country wasn’t pretty in winter? I had to stop and snap the shutter for evidence :) This week will still be a bit busy but should be slowing down soon. Btw, if you had a picture taken with Smitten Sticks at Indie Wed or for an event/wedding recently, I’d love for your to upload it here! Or email us at smittensticks@gmail.com

As mentioned in yesterday, things were a little crazy busy at Indie Wed so I failed to meet all the vendors and take their photo, bummer! But I managed to snap a few favorites close by. Be sure to check out yesterday’s post to check out more of my favorite wedding vendors! Above: the cutest cake toppers in the whole wide world by The Small Object! Whew!!! Where am I, who am I and what time is it?!?! Flew back home to San Francisco yesterday and it’s been nonstop catch up today. I’ve barely showered! What a BLAST this past weekend was, and I can’t express enough how adorable all the Indie Wed vendors where! Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to see everyone’s booth or meet them for that matter….guess that’s what happens when you have over 1000 people walk through. Anyone else feel like a chicken with their head cut off? Wish I could have taken more photos of the whole event, but I didn’t even use the restroom that day…you get my point :) Btw, feel free to link your photos in the comments! (more…)
