Springy Rustic-Charm Centerpiece with DIY Vase Boutonnieres!

A couple weeks ago not only was I spring cleaning, but I had to create a little centerpiece for the ‘secret project’ I’m working on…which means I had a mini photo shoot! Two things were decided: I wanted to incorporate birch (because I’m just in love with it) and wanted to spruce up a simple vase. BAM! I came up with birch sleeved vases with diy brooches, fabric flowers and ribbon bouts aka the all-in-one ‘vase boutonniere’!

Birch sleeves were purchased from my local flower market. Based on the glass vases I had at home, I cut the birch to fit around and closed shut with a pin. I gathered some of my earrings (both regular and clip-on) and stuck them through the birch sleeve. DIY fabric flowers out of cloth I had stashed away and ribbon bouts adhered with pins (you could use glue dots or tape). A snazzy way to decorate your vases at home or on your wedding day!
so so cute! it feels fresh and light and airy and whimsical. love love love!

Wow, this is really cool. I have been looking up countless ideas for my wedding decorations, since we are doing a lot of things ourselves, such as centerpieces. This is a PERFECT idea for what I have in mind. I am trying to put together a vintage winter sort of theme using things like lace, birch trees, birds, etc. You can imagine that this is an AWESOME combination!! Thanks so much for the idea!
