Lately, I’ve been craving another camping trip so that I can sit outside in the warm breeze and read the million books that I’ve borrowed and have yet to read/finish. So this could have sparked my new obsession with enamel coffee mugs…in love with the vintage white and tin! These colors do just fine too ;) Wouldn’t these be cute at a wedding?! Guests could drink hot chocolate or stuff them with flowers or how about hanging them from trees? Ideas are endless.

We have dessert bars, cocktail bars, candy bars, spice bars, seed bars but a perfume/scent bar? YES PLEASE! Buffets of yummies or goodies have raided the wedding market for the past handful of years. The last couple years, it’s gained huge popularity because of it’s decor ability and providing guests with a fun and memorable activity. Digging this bridal shower’s perfume bar – you could add some earthy men’s scents as well as flirty & floral women’s. Suggest a couple of favorite perfume combinations, small jars with labels and poof – a very memorable and personal favor for your guests! Seek out a custom scent companies for the best approach.

Production like a maniac over here! This wedding season I’m averaging about 2 weddings away from California a month. I’m excited to share this one with you. During the winter, Mary and Andy flew to San Francisco for their engagement session, and we had a blast exploring Hayes Valley and Crissy Field. Now it was my turn to fly to Ohio where they wed at Geneva-by-the-Lake, a tiny little town full of summer time memories (retro burger!)! Enjoy the peek! (more…)

Hello all! I’m back in San Francisco and photo production is in full force! Can’t wait to show you the sneak of my wedding in Ohio this past weekend. It’s oh-my goodness :) And speaking of oh-my and goodness…whoopie pies! This classic northeastern dessert is hitting the wedding market fast! We’ve seen a few weddings with this yummy cake dessert (yes, it’s more cake than a cookie or pie), however, this trend is going to replace cupcakes and pies (some wedding cakes even) in 2011! Word on the street is San Francisco’s Susie Cakes has fantastic ones…see more whoopie pies here, here, here, here. Who wouldn’t like sandwich cakes with filling, especially with flavors like red velvet or pumpkin!

We’ve seen speckles of mobile food in some of the hot weddings of 2010 so far…even 2009. But I believe we are onto something big for 2011…savory and sweet food trucks! An inexpensive and interactive (super for photo opportunities!) way to engage your guests and fill their bellies- love me a taco from our local SF trucks! The owners of these small businesses are taking their pride above and beyond in creative design as well. The lovely ladies of 100 Layer Cake guest blogged about some of their favs around the country. Check out the Unruly Things link above!
