A little bit a of sun and warm temps, and I’m all about spring! Very lucky to be living in San Francisco…yes, the fog can be dreary, but I remind myself what it’s like everyone else in the country and I stop ;) How about a little cozy relief for your guests to sit under during your wedding cocktail hour or dinner? Fabric canopies offer a whimsy and casual way to comfort a sometimes stiff event. Overhead sails, yes please.
linked on to your site via ashley ann. love your blog. saw this post about fabric canopies. thought i’d share that our wedding was completely DIY up at my husbands family property in san rafael ca. i made everything by hand and when i was pricing out tents – i decided to call the local sail company in marin. i’m swedish and my parents have strung their sail in backyard for a party so i knew it would look sharp. so i called the sail shop in marin and borrowed 2 60foot sails for free. the tent we had price out was going to be $5000 and so i loved my other option. we had a few sprinkles on our wedding day but we all just danced in the rain instead of getting upset about it. the sails were such a great touch to our wedding.
here are a few pics of our wedding…
