A lovely, modern chic sneak of a wedding to share with you! I had the pleasure of flying out to Cleveland (1st time staying overnight) to photograph these two lovebirds’ modern diy day. We laughed, toured the city trolley style with family and explored hidden gems (the tour guide thought I was crazy for wanting to take them to the warehouse district!). The charming Chicago duo were extremely gracious and their families were beyond sweet. It was quite the change-up from my list of outdoor weddings this year, but I can see why it was indoors! (hot & humid) Big thanks to my 2nd photographer Josh! Enjoy! (more…)

Seems like a minor detail right? Definitely not. While it’s not a make or break-it project for your party or wedding, it can make a difference in your event photos. Whether you’re the creative type (haha) or not, this is one easy way to spruce up your table centerpiece from the mundane (and distracting really) paper/photo on a tall metal holder. No matter what your budget, table numbers and cards can be cute, themed and add dimension to your centerpiece. They should be a compliment to the centerpiece not a distraction. There are hundreds of ideas so start at the Pinterest link above and check out my favorite real wedding table number here (Italian house numbers). Feel free to share your ideas!

It’s no secret that weddings and parties LOVE dessert tables. It’s also no secret that cupcakes, pies, whoopie pies, cake pops and candy have been the most popular items! But watch out! A new sugary puff is in town, and it’s breaking mallow molds all over the country. Add them to your dessert table, serve on own or give them out as party favors but it’s no lie that your guests will love these gourmet marshmallows! Check out the link above for purchase info!

SUPER big thanks to all the vendors involved and an even BIGGER thanks to Adie of Twin Town Studios for being my second photographer for the bash. While traveling a few days ago, I had some time to catch up on my favorite reading: Martha Stewart Weddings! How adorable is this scratch-off save the date? So easy, brilliant really, and would be perfect for an invitation as well! Oh MS craft team, how genius you are. See the how-to instructions at the link above.
