It hit stands last week in Chicago, and luckily they were kind enough to mail me a copy out here to CA. Always such a high to see your work printed and to be reminded how GORG my couples really are. Kristen and Gene had a classically retro big day in the windy city, and their one year anniversary is next month! Wow, time flies! Thanks to The Knot for the feature!

Youna, Tim and I started our serendipitous portrait adventure in the charming Hayes Valley neighborhood just before their SF City Hall ceremony. Pretty pastels, pops of fuschia florals and a lime green bow tie highlighted their soft and charming personalities. It’s really nice photographing a petite wedding (1 of 2 weddings for Youna & Tim) because they tend to be more relaxed and care-free. Youna even showed me one of her skilled talents of piggybacking Tim (Youna, don’t worry I didn’t include that photo here)! Big shout out to Natalie Bowen Designs for the as-always chic florals! Enjoy the sneak! (more…)

If you’ve caught on, I’m calling engagement sessions love shoots now. Mainly because 1). they sound more charming & 2). you don’t have to be engaged to enjoy a little love photo session (and they can happen post wedding if you like)! This one is especially special to me because it captures a true foggy San Francisco summer (coldest winter quote: was it Hemingway or Twain or?). While the rest of the country sweats in 100 degree humid temps, we wear jackets and I love it :) Our ‘summers’ actually start in Aug/Sept. and go to December (an education lesson for ya). These lovebirds and I embraced the romantic fog and visited their neighborhood spots (Alamo Square aka Full House) and cuddled at Stow Lake in Golden Gate Park. Enjoy! (more…)

Pretty sure this lovely wedding will cheer up your Muuuundays right up! Rachel and Andy were full of giggles and laughter! With such easy-going and outgoing families, the day was a photographer’s dream :) We embraced the cool Bay Area summer temps and thick fog to make the day as magical as possible. From custom gray bridesmaids dresses, bright pops of colors and her one shoulder wedding dress, you’ll agree it’s quite the charming event. Enjoy this sneak! And as always, vendors listed at the end. Happy Friday! I’m going on 4 hours of sleep so I’ve had better Fridays ;) But as soon as I received the tweet that 100 Layer Cake posted Michelle and Jacob’s oh-so cute wedding, coffee couldn’t jolt the excitement I had! Check out the feature here and more images on my blog here. I love my 100 Layer Cake ladies, mwah!

I have a quick second to share a recent shoot, yay! Busy (wedding season) bee! Nina and Scott’s love shoot took place in San Francisco’s eclectic Mission neighborhood, where they also live. We explored Clarion Alley, Dolores Park and everywhere in between. Can’t wait for these cuties to get married! (more…)
