Terri and Adam – what can I say?! Incredible energy and just plain FUN! Remember their urban engagement session here? It’s not often that I hope for snow in Chicago but this time I begged mother nature and nada. At least my flight to Chicago was without delay, but it was sad to see all the snow from Snowpocalypse melted. It’s not everyday you have a couple that wants to play in the snow on their wedding day :) So instead we threw confetti, enjoyed Montrose Harbor and continued our adventure in the nooks and crannies of Architectural Artifacts antiques! Oh dear, cuteness. Little Baby Emme made my heart melt the second I flew into Chicago last week. Remember Liz & Mike? I had the pleasure of photographing their first little one (not even 2 weeks old!), and she made quite the impression on me. Her home was filled with love and peace…such a delight. She’s going to grow up with incredible family surrounding her. During our session, we laughed together, cried a bit, ate a little and slept most of it :) Cheers! (more…)

Happy Friday and GO Giants! A wonderful fall wedding sneak peek today. Meet Karen and Dan. Lovers of food, family and a classy good ole time. Happy almost weekend! You remember Kristen and Gene’s Sunday Stroll? Their recent and lovely downtown Chicago wedding was a classic elegance with a hint of retro. As promised, a sneak peek of Hannah & Chris’s just married session! Busy bees planning a wedding and trying to coordinate travel, we decided that instead of an engagement session that a just married session would be just as fabulous! The best part was that it also served as a tour of their favorites spots to hang out growing up. I feel privileged to become invited to share these memories with my couples. Ahhh, the gushies. What do you get with a Midwestern couple living in LA and owning a music licensing shop called Ghost Town? FUN! What do you get with a Chicagoland childhood, hanging out in the same circle of friends growing up but not knowing it? Sweet Hannah and Chris love. It may have taken years for them to find each other right under their noses but it seems as if they’ve known each other for a lifetime already. Today I bring you Kristen and Gene! Super sweet and mellow couple. You could say their engagement session was a normal Sunday morning theme; walking the dog, grabbing coffee and exploring their family-friendly neighborhood all in the quiet that is Sunday morning. The best part was discovering spots they didn’t even know about like all the incredible vegetation inside the children’s community garden (including finding a school desk prop!!). Wow, it’s Wednesday already! Headed out-of-state again tomorrow for another wedding this weekend. I’m just all over the place! Denise and Dave – what a couple of love birds on their magical day. The midwest locusts hummed all day & night and families were as happy as can be. I was smitten with the whole day – their 1800′s Chicagoland home, handmade decor details, absolutely photogenic couple (although they were worried about being awkward in front of the camera!) and lively guests. Get ready for this sneak peek folks! Not only did I have a wedding in the good ole Midwest but also an engagement session. How in the world did Terri, Adam and I manage to get all these amazing shots in 1.5 hours while having an absolute blast running around Chicago?! The stars must have aligned for us…even the rain gods. We were prop crazy, love crazy and on a mission! So grab your morning coffees for this one!
