Whoot! It’s Friday and boy do I have a lovely wedding to show you! Shelley and Chris – a sparky yet sweet, super intelligent yet funny, grand’ole time of a couple. We had a blast during their engagement session in North Beach, view here. So I knew their wedding would be nothing short of greatness. Equal parts wine country rustic and charmingly modern, we played in the amazing rose gardens of property, vogued it out at a sweet white barn down the road, stuffed our faces and danced until the stars went to bed. They even had a poetry booth and a sparkler exit! As always, mega thanks to my right-hand photo lady Kara. Congratulations you two!! Enjoy the sneak! (more…)
Wowza is this a pretty wedding! Slowly but surely I’ll be showcasing the rest of my fabulous weddings from 2012! Some I can’t show completely as they will be featured…but I can sneak a few in. Christine and Fred, what can I say? The sweetest lovebirds on the planet?! Yep. Gentle spirits, low key and full of appreciation for the pretty. We had some of the best wedding vendors in the SF Bay Area collaborating on this super adorable farmhouse chic themed wedding at Clos La Chance Winery. Blush pinks, succulents and FAB textured linens! Thank you Kara for being my right-hand photo woman, you’re a rockstar! Enjoy this incredibly dreamy day! (more…)
Saddle up partners, this one is a doozy of a pretty!! Find MORE pretty over at 100 Layer Cake today, thanks for featuring ladies! These images have been a long time coming (at least that’s what I’ve heard ;)…why? Well, some of you may have heard of Taylor (fashion/lifestyle blogger: Sterling Style & founder of the Glitter Guide, not to mention occasional appearances in the West Elm catalogs and everywhere else). What does a fashion/lifestyle blogger’s wedding look like?! How does she involve her groom’s favorites things you ask? What I loved most were their elements of casual meets glam. Just like their personalities! Nothing stuffy, all smiles, fun and love for these lovebirds. Taylor’s well-rounded planner, Jacin, rocked it out with some amazing florals and details. Our spicy new photobooth snapped away and well, we had a fab time! Big thanks to my right-hand photo lady, Kara!
“Taylor and Joey’s wedding was the perfect blend of glam meets backyard bar-b-que. A well-known fashion blogger, Taylor is the voice behind Glitter Guide, an inspirational website for women focused on the latest trends and styles, and she wanted to incorporate her eclectic style in to her wedding. Joey, a Cross Fit trainer and competitor had only one request in the wedding planning process: that BBQ food was served at their garden wedding. Mixing the funky style of fashion with a backyard BBQ was no small feat but what came about on that sunny August day left guests walking away thinking “that was so them.” From gilded BBQ baskets at each table filled with wet naps and bibs carefully tied with golden ribbon to golden stripe straws at the bar to meticulously crafted glitter gelato spoons for the surprise gelato cart that arrived later in the evening (an homage to the couple’s favorite treat!), Taylor & Joey’s wedding was full of meaningful and fun details that really pulled everything together. It is possible to have a backyard affair filled with glam, sparkle, and an ethereal charm – and these two were able to represent not only their own personalities, but also their combined traits as a couple.” (more…)
Magical! So excited to share this sneak peek with you today. I went on a very fast and furious trip to France last month for an ultra whimsy couple of lovebirds named Kristin and Eric. Engaged in the same region in France (while visiting family and friends), they knew they wanted to throw the party week (yes, week) of the century at Chateau Le Durantie! An entire week of parties was planned up to the wedding day. Alice in Wonderland night, 80’s night and a masquerade party (a popular French royalty event during the 15th century to celebrate royal marriages) kept their besties busy in between their bike rides, cave tours, apple eating, wine drinking and swimming. The wedding day was full of unique details like her metallic dress, helium filled clown fish floating over their ceremony kiss, weddings rings made with cement, sparklers, Baguette (their dog) in a tux, a crepe truck at midnight and much more! Lots to look at so get started! (more…)
Happy Friday!! It’s been a busy season, and I’m finally finding pockets of time to share some beautiful weddings with you from this year :) Elaine and Mike – wowza me you are both stunning! A seriously timeless and elegant wedding with a dash of fun and ooze of class. With a magical vineyard backdrop and the classic white architecture of the venue, it really was the best of Sonoma. Friends and family from near and a far (Brazil!) gleamed with smiles…what a fab time!! Don’t let that classic fool you…Elaine had a bit of incredible gold wedge glam under that dress :) You’ll find all the details/vendors at the end. Big thanks to Silvana for being my right-hand photo lady. Oh and if you’re looking for top notch private pilates sessions, Elaine is your gal :) (more…)
Happy happy happy! Nothing but million dollar smiles from Jayne and Steve! Their Radonich Ranch Wedding was easy-going, natural, simple, dreamy and so very romantic with nonstop laughter from friends and family. A crazy charming wedding day nestled in the Santa Cruz mountains ;) The cutest part of the day was during the ceremony when their friend/officiant read letters that they had written to each other. Oh and they met while on a flight to Chicago – talk about movie romantic! Shades of lavender, baby ducks, Love at First Flight popcorn favors, yummy soda syrup flavors…the cutest just didn’t stop! It was my first time shooting at Radonich Ranch and hopefully not my last…I’d move in instantly if I could! It has a great mix of modern, rustic and ranch all in one. Enjoy the sneak! (more…)
What’s black and white with purple all over?! Rachel and Nick’s fantastic wedding day! A sunny day in early May created the perfect backdrop for Rachel and Nick to host a destination wedding in Healdsburg! Oh wine country, how I love thee :) Of course as soon as I saw Rachel’s fab Very Wang gown and Nick’s stunning tux…well we were in wedding bliss! I loved their classic ways meeting wine country’s casual ambience…good food and good wine, lots of laughs from friends and family. Enjoy your sneak! (more…)
Here we go! Part two (view part 1 here & their SF City Hall here) of Youna and Tim’s delightful wedding in Seoul, Korea! It was incredibly fascinating to watch how the day unfolded with customs and show-stopping effects :) Korean weddings are more formal in a variety of ways. Traditionally, the wedding day is more about the couple’s parents ‘giving’ them away. Dinner and entertainment (Youna and Tim’s friends performed a few songs!) is provided for the guests. The couple and their parents aren’t given a spot to eat, instead they thank each guest for attending. Apparently, it’s not typical for the couple to say their own vows but they did! Even better, Youna sang a beautiful song to Tim. Heavenly! Youna also bought some fun props for guests to enjoy for photo-taking fun! So you could say they modernized things up a bit. A beautiful Pyebaek ceremony took place after the dinner reception. Youna and Tim performed bows to their family, poured tea/wine, older generations shared words of wisdom and parents threw dates/chestnuts to determine how many children they would have, 9! Such a memorable experience, words can’t express how thankful I am that you shared your celebrations and lives with me. XO! (more…)
Warning: soggy yet adorable wedding beat the rain with a ton of cheer!! Sure, we could have let this completely outdoor wedding lose against the rain. But my oh-so cute couple, Rebecca and David (remember his Whole Foods Parking Lot hilarity?), kept our spirits high with constant jokes, laughter and mucho dancing while internally we were all scrambling ;) I’ll be honest, it was my last wedding of the season, and the rain definitely had me a bit deflated. But no, the lovebirds kept going – game for whatever we could do and let me tell you….this wedding is beyond bright on all levels! A wee-bit bohemian mixed with rustic handmade details tossed with modern flair and finished with an amazing berry and red color palette (and glittery mary-jane flats), you’ll swoon. Not to mention a buffet of Miette cakes! Huge thanks to Silvana, my right-hand photo woman for the day. So here’s a personal shout out to R & D – may we continue the 80s/ 90s rockin hip-hop/r&b playlist with this and this – thank you for being a blast! Enjoy this sneak! (more…)
I’m dreaming of stuffing, green bean casserole and mashed potatoes! The night before Thanksgiving, and yes I have a sneak for you! Tricia and Jay married in the oh-so chic Milwaukee Art Museum (architects can I hear a yeah!). The day was full of play, laughter, gorgeous lace (wowza of a wedding dress & retro veil, her mother’s originally) and wedding cheer! Not to mention my first time in Wisconsin (yum cheese curds and coffee), and the dance floor looked like a hip MTV music video right in front of me! The day before the wedding we did a mini engagement session at Alterra Coffee Shop on the lake where Jay proposed! Big thanks to my right-hand photo lady Jessie. Enjoy this sneak! Maybe you’ll ooo and ahh so much that you’ll burn calories before the big feast tomorrow! (more…)
