It’s August already, can you believe it?! This month, my Jman turns the big 3-0! I am throwing him a Mad Men style bash at a swanky, vintage and super teeny restaurant/lounge in downtown San Francisco. We have family and friends coming in town to join the rest of our SF folks to celebrate in style (no longer a surprise ;). While I love saving a tree, this occasion seemed perfect for a little diy paper invitation! Check out the rest… (more…)

I’m in LOVE, so simple so elegant! The perfect post for Earth Day this week. This just proves what a little elbow grease and environmental consciousness will do for your wedding centerpiece. Kelly – you go girl! Find the full post at 100 Layer Cake link above.

Goodness gracious! So simple and yet so genius! A lovely way to spruce up your clear bottles and jars while maintaining a polished look. (if you’re anything like me sometimes those diy projects look a little too ‘diy’…but you can’t go wrong with this method!). A fab wedding centerpiece arrangement, I think so. Links above for instructions.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! I always strut my green eyes on this holiday :) This week is devoted to prepping for the Heath Ceramics Wedding Lounge (Sunday the 21st in Sausalito). I will have a semi photo booth there to capture all your smiling faces! Remember my paper heart garland here? Recycle, reuse, reduce is the plan and above is a sneak of my textured photo fabric backdrop!

A couple weeks ago not only was I spring cleaning, but I had to create a little centerpiece for the ’secret project’ I’m working on…which means I had a mini photo shoot! Two things were decided: I wanted to incorporate birch (because I’m just in love with it) and wanted to spruce up a simple vase. BAM! I came up with birch sleeved vases with diy brooches, fabric flowers and ribbon bouts aka the all-in-one ‘vase boutonniere’! (more…)

Whew!!! Where am I, who am I and what time is it?!?! Flew back home to San Francisco yesterday and it’s been nonstop catch up today. I’ve barely showered! What a BLAST this past weekend was, and I can’t express enough how adorable all the Indie Wed vendors where! Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to see everyone’s booth or meet them for that matter….guess that’s what happens when you have over 1000 people walk through. Anyone else feel like a chicken with their head cut off? Wish I could have taken more photos of the whole event, but I didn’t even use the restroom that day…you get my point :) Btw, feel free to link your photos in the comments! (more…)

Rain, rain and more rain! I have to admit, it’s been kind of nice sipping on a cup of tea and prepping my crafts for my Indie Wed booth decor. Can’t believe I fly out to Chicago next week! Today, I’m sharing a little sneak teaser of the diy photo garland that I will have on display. Hopefully, my booth inspires brides with all types of budgets and gives meaningful, eco-friendly ideas for their wedding decor! My Deshie sure loves ribbon… (more…)

ADORABLE! Not only are the images oh-so cute but Kathleen’s design is spot-on. I loved these bags last year and still do this year ;) Head over to her link here to download the goodies (too bad the brownies aren’t included)! Don’t worry she’ll also tell ya where to purchase the bags!
