What happens when 2 photographers get together for a photoshoot?! THIS! I’ll admit, very weird blogging photos of myself…but when you have a vision in your head and it translates to print so perfectly it causes for celebration :) Sarah, you were simply amazing even though my awkwardness in front of the camera took over at points (you’d think otherwise right? uh, no), you were able to capture exactly who I am!! Too many good ones to post but here are some of the favorites… (more…)

Hello there! Thought I’d share what I’ve been working on the past few days (anyone hear the crickets? hehe). I had the pleasure of photographing stock images for the San Francisco School of Massage’s new website. This is just a little sneak peak since I didn’t want to give away too much before they unveil their new site. So many great shots were taken of students and instructors along with massage interaction, probably the most peaceful shoot I’ve ever had! It was amazing! So here are some of my favorites (without giving away anyone’s identity). FYI, lots of secret projects on the horizon…I’ll do my best to share what I can! (more…)

I’m doing dandy! Things have been a little hectic since my return home…inquiries, email catch-up, lots of new events and ideas on the rise…my brain won’t shut off! Yesterday, I had the pleasure photographing an elopement in St. Helena! The sun was shining, the mustard colored wildflowers were in plenty! Who said wine country wasn’t pretty in winter? I had to stop and snap the shutter for evidence :) This week will still be a bit busy but should be slowing down soon. Btw, if you had a picture taken with Smitten Sticks at Indie Wed or for an event/wedding recently, I’d love for your to upload it here! Or email us at smittensticks@gmail.com

“Edyta Szyszlo and Jared Grellner just moved in to this charming Laurel Heights apartment, but it’s not evident by the looks of it. Edyta, a professional photographer with a knack for design, and Jared, an architect wth a knack for DIY, have focused their carefully trained eyes on their shared space, and have managed to put together a gorgeous home for themselves and their two cats.”

As you are reading this, I’m on a plane flying to Chicago for the weekend! Grace and Geoffrey’s wedding day has arrived! So while I’m away, I invite you to browse my new living quarters in San Francisco. J and I worked very hard putting this place together, and I think it suites both of our dandy personalities extremely well. Don’t just stand there, come on in! (more…)

I.want.one. Yup, I’ve been on the hunt for a fun camera wardrobe change, and now the problem is picking a pattern! My dilemma is the color/pattern choice. I tend to wear mostly black or neutral colors when I shoot weddings so that I blend into the background. I’m thinking these colorful ones might not help :) BUT they are my fav (and strangely the color of my new living room)! Go check out their shops now and check out wrist straps for point & shoot cameras.
