Rebecca & David’s Rainy yet Cheery Cornerstone Sonoma Wedding

Photos: Edyta Szyszlo

Warning: soggy yet adorable wedding beat the rain with a ton of cheer!! Sure, we could have let this completely outdoor wedding lose against the rain.  But my oh-so cute couple, Rebecca and David (remember his Whole Foods Parking Lot hilarity?), kept our spirits high with constant jokes, laughter and mucho dancing while internally we were all scrambling ;) I’ll be honest, it was my last wedding of the season, and the rain definitely had me a bit deflated. But no, the lovebirds kept going – game for whatever we could do and let me tell you….this wedding is beyond bright on all levels! A wee-bit bohemian mixed with rustic handmade details tossed with modern flair and finished with an amazing berry and red color palette (and glittery mary-jane flats), you’ll swoon. Not to mention a buffet of Miette cakes! Huge thanks to Silvana, my right-hand photo woman for the day. So here’s a personal shout out to R & D – may we continue the 80s/ 90s rockin hip-hop/r&b playlist with this and this – thank you for being a blast! Enjoy this sneak!

I’m dreaming of stuffing, green bean casserole and mashed potatoes! The night before Thanksgiving, and yes I have a sneak for you! Tricia and Jay married in the oh-so chic Milwaukee Art Museum (architects can I hear a yeah!). The day was full of play, laughter, gorgeous lace (wowza of a wedding dress & retro veil, her mother’s originally) and wedding cheer! Not to mention my first time in Wisconsin (yum cheese curds and coffee), and the dance floor looked like a hip MTV music video right in front of me! The day before the wedding we did a mini engagement session at Alterra Coffee Shop on the lake where Jay proposed! Big thanks to my right-hand photo lady Jessie. Enjoy this sneak! Kristen & Ben’s Handmade San Francisco City Hall Mini Wedding

Photos: Edyta Szyszlo

What do you get when two creatives wed in the fall?! Pure yay! Kristen and Ben’s City Hall mini wedding was full of vintage inspirations, diy fall details (like the flowers, can you believe she designed and arranged them!?), lots of laughter, surprises and San Francisco charm. We met Ben at our first look spot and found a wedding date sign that he made then Kristen surprised Ben and family with a pop-up bag reception (including a banner, sparkling cider & Frank Sinatra via her ipod) outside in the plaza. Wondering where she got her dress, here! We had so much fun…this is what weddings are all about. Enjoy!

Carol & Seth’s Cultural Chic Wedding in Santa Cruz Mountains at Kennolyn

Photos: Edyta Szyszlo

Get ready for GORG! Carol and Seth’s multicultural wedding sneak pops a big punch with soft and cute California details. Relaxed yet still classic, Carol and Seth’s lovey day was full of smiles, hugging and tears of joy! I had such a blast with these two photographing their love shoot that I knew it would be memorable. Their wedding was tucked away in the Santa Cruz Mountains where desert vegetation meets redwoods. Man I love this state and what an incredibly magically place to wed! Thanks to my right-hand woman Jenna! Hold on to your hats as these Chinese, Jewish and California cool traditions collide for this sweet wedding day!

Traditional Chinese door games and tea ceremony. Seth had to convince Carol’s bridesmaids that he was worthy of her hand in marriage via poems, juggling and singing. Once approved, the tea ceremony takes place where tea, treats and lucky money are shared.

Jewish Ketubah signing!

Youna & Tim’s Serendipitous San Francisco City Hall Ceremony

Photos: Edyta Szyszlo

Youna, Tim and I started our serendipitous portrait adventure in the charming Hayes Valley neighborhood just before their SF City Hall ceremony. Pretty pastels, pops of fuschia florals and a lime green bow tie highlighted their soft and charming personalities. It’s really nice photographing a petite wedding (1 of 2 weddings for Youna & Tim) because they tend to be more relaxed and care-free. Youna even showed me one of her skilled talents of piggybacking Tim (Youna, don’t worry I didn’t include that photo here)! Big shout out to Natalie Bowen Designs for the as-always chic florals! Enjoy the sneak!
