Whoot! I love starting the day with an ‘we’ve launched’ email!! I’ve been dying for Shelter Co. to officially launch and today is the day! “Shelter Co. is a pop up lodging service catering to groups looking for an overnight outdoor experience.” One of those genius ideas that I wish I had thought of, but I am beyond thrilled to support the fabulous wife/husband duo behind this genius idea (check them out on Daily Candy). Kelsey (planner w/ Alison Events), Mike and team – wishing you tons of success all over the world! Now, if there are any couples getting married and using Shelter Co. you can go ahead and HIRE ME!! Please, thanks ;)

So incredibly genius. Really. You know I photograph stationery, obsessed with paper and props, appreciate a unique idea. But this really blows my mind today. There’s so much creativity in this world! Thanks to Justin for sending this my direction. If I had all the money in the world these would serve as my birthday invitations for next year…it’s a big one :) Awesome invitation idea for weddings as well. Again, genius. Need I say more?! How adorable are these paper bags for a party or wedding favor! I know Whisker Graphics well from their charming and striped Divine Twine. And I’m so excited that they’ve added more packaging goodies for us to all drool over! Be sure to take advantage of this pop-up sale over at 100 Layer Cake to buy all the Whisker Graphics goodies mentioned above.

Amazing typography/font, check. Punch of earthy color, check. Ceramic texture, check. What’s there not to love about Heath’s new ceramic house numbers. I’m sold, obsessed and need. These could be purchased before my first house! I’m also loving the use of ceramic tiles and house numbers as wedding table numbers. See example from one of my weddings here!

I first spotted these charming drinking jars at The Collection Event Studio in Sonoma, and I’ve been dreaming about them ever since! Why it’s taken me so long to chat about ACME Party Boxes…well I don’t know, but it’s quite genius! Their mission is to give party-throwers a sustainable, reusable and fair way to throw a party (“Parties good, Trash bad!”) whether it be for kids or adults. I’m in love with their concept and even more in love with their products. You’ll find options for favors, tableware, bunting, linens, lighting and centerpieces all for kids and adult parties! Yay for another Bay Area business doing us proud ;)

It feels like 99.9% of wedding dresses are strapless, am I right? And don’t get me wrong, sometimes a strapless neckline is nice. But I know there are several of you out there that love a fabulously designed dress with sleeves. It’s something different, often more flattering but not the easiest to find. So what’s a gal to do? Loving the look of layers on a wedding day. Romantic, frothy and flowy capelets (also under boleros, shrugs, cover-ups) offer some added coverage with a touch of pretty glam! From couture to handmade, you can’t deny a dreamy accessory! Added bonus? Skip that veil because they add creative texture and movement for your wedding day photos!

Obsessed! I just can’t get enough. White and wood everything. It’s clean, sophisticated with rustic and modern charms. You just can’t go wrong! What I love most is the wood’s warm color and texture against a cool-tone white. These opposites do attract to create timeless decor. I’ve never been one to dream of my own party or wedding…but this could certainly be right up my dreamy alley. You must check out the entire wedding shoot, click on the link above.

Ah Valentine’s Day. You can let the media make you grumpy about it or you can embrace the day with a little love. Jman and I like to keep things simple and out of the hype. My new best friend, Pinterest, has me visually over stimulated with all kinds of goodies. Some of my Valentine’s Day favorites: dreamy, cozy, romantic, indulgent and effortless. How about you?

Happy Monday and Christmas week! Last night, I went into full-force baby shower planning mode. I’m hosting a friend’s co-ed baby shower in February. Somewhat a surprise now, I’ll be sure to share the paper/decor goodies process as it comes. Of course, I found something fabulous while hunting for all things stripes. Polka dot paper party straws!! Of course, I still love the vintage-like striped straws but these change things up a bit ;) The online bake shops have the best selection of fun, quirky, cute packaging goods! Visit the link above and my other fav here.
