Good to be back home! Flew in last night from a wedding in the midwest and just in time for a birthday dinner for my Jman. So excited to share Caroline and Andres’s engagement session with you! Thier wedding will be held in wine country so they wanted to change the scenery up a bit! The perfect evening consisted of beautiful murals at Balmy Alley, ice cream at the incredibly yummy Humphry Slocombe and a trip to Andres’s childhood park for some futbol love! Enjoy the sneak peek! Happy Friday! Somewhat of a free weekend for me, in-between an engagement session, production, finding outfits for Jman’s Mad Men bday bash in a couple weeks..haha, did I say production? And I will enjoy a delightful dinner at Suppenküche (I’m sure you’ve seen this SF german restaurant on the blogs for it’s indie weddings) with family via a sweet gift certificate that some of my clients gave me :) I leave you now with a sneak peek of a sneak peek for what’s to come on the blog soon…

How in the world did Terri, Adam and I manage to get all these amazing shots in 1.5 hours while having an absolute blast running around Chicago?! The stars must have aligned for us…even the rain gods. We were prop crazy, love crazy and on a mission! So grab your morning coffees for this one! Can I say how incredibly awesome it was to run into a Tina Turner impersonator?! Sassy. (more…)

OoOoo so excited to finally share my new favorite clothing store in San Francisco with you! Best part?! It’s 4 blocks away from me! I recently stopped in with my camera to do a mini shoot of some of their goodies. I love the throwback concept of one-of-a-kind, custom made clothes, especially these days when you know every other person probably has that same shirt. The next best part?! Oh-so adorable wedding dresses for that perfect outdoor or garden wedding and complimenting laid back dresses for your bridesmaids. So here’s a little bit from Elinor and Evelyne of Eel & Ermine. A couple weeks ago not only was I spring cleaning, but I had to create a little centerpiece for the ’secret project’ I’m working on…which means I had a mini photo shoot! Two things were decided: I wanted to incorporate birch (because I’m just in love with it) and wanted to spruce up a simple vase. BAM! I came up with birch sleeved vases with diy brooches, fabric flowers and ribbon bouts aka the all-in-one ‘vase boutonniere’! (more…)

I realize that most of the country is getting hit by snow but here in SF it sure feels like spring! Spring cleaning itch! This week I had the pleasure of photographing a very charming small wedding affair in St. Helena (just north of Napa). I have to admit, while it’s easy to label it an elopement because this couple whisked away to wine country from Texas…they did bring their immediate family. Someone want to help me coin a new term for the ‘inbetween’ elopement and wedding?! In the meantime, these images will give you the spring that you need! Stunning! (more…)

Whew!!! Where am I, who am I and what time is it?!?! Flew back home to San Francisco yesterday and it’s been nonstop catch up today. I’ve barely showered! What a BLAST this past weekend was, and I can’t express enough how adorable all the Indie Wed vendors where! Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to see everyone’s booth or meet them for that matter….guess that’s what happens when you have over 1000 people walk through. Anyone else feel like a chicken with their head cut off? Wish I could have taken more photos of the whole event, but I didn’t even use the restroom that day…you get my point :) Btw, feel free to link your photos in the comments! (more…)
