Your natural environment can provide you with so many resources for fall wedding decor.  Leaves and pumpkins seem to be the most commonly used, which is why I loved the use of pinecones here!  You can find pinecones just about anywhere!  The dark brown tones really compliment the hot new color for weddings, purple!  Pinecone Place Card & Pinecone Hurricane Vase

I wanted to share a few of my favorite lighting crafts for wedding decor in the fall.  If you know anything about photography, you know that it’s about the use of light.  It’s important to have a balance of light in your ceremony and reception venues so that the photographer can technically capture your moments but also photograph the feeling.  Nothing sets the mood like candlelight! Good morning!  The amount of hair accessories at Renegade were in the low numbers, surprisingly.  I was hoping to see more feathers and textures…however, a big smile popped up on my face when I saw Belinda’s hair accessories!  Belinda collects stamps and various paper textures to form these lovely hair barrettes. I hope everyone had an awesome Labor Day!!  In keeping with the theme of the last post, I thought I’d share some more designs and prints that could inspire just about anyone!  Old School Stationers is a talented letterpress company based on the west coast with organic ideas.  It’s common for a couple getting married to use their shared hobbies for the theme of their wedding, especially in the favors so why not take it to the next level and use the theme for invites, etc!  Love the retro camping series that they have on their site and the leaves! Check out the wall prints!  Not sure if they do custom orders (worth a try though) but definitely take a peek for color and wedding design ideas!

Friday!!! Hope you have a wonderful weekend! Yesterday, I helped another photography studio with post production and discovered this incredible unity candle alternative idea that the couple used. Instead of having the common unity candle lighting, the couple had a money tree at the altar with two tiny water pitchers. They each grabbed their pitcher and watered the tree. The money tree is said to bring good fortune and luck to those who place it in their home. I love this idea because you can keep the tree in your home without it screaming “wedding” like a engraved candle that would burn out. More ideas and traditions… (more…)
