I’m absolutely in love. The light, colors and simple charms of this greenhouse wedding setting are perfect. It screams spring! Check out all 3 links for more inspirations from this shoot along with vendor credits. I believe they are onto a new spring wedding trend ;)

A couple weeks ago not only was I spring cleaning, but I had to create a little centerpiece for the ‘secret project’ I’m working on…which means I had a mini photo shoot! Two things were decided: I wanted to incorporate birch (because I’m just in love with it) and wanted to spruce up a simple vase. BAM! I came up with birch sleeved vases with diy brooches, fabric flowers and ribbon bouts aka the all-in-one ‘vase boutonniere’! (more…)

AH! I can’t get enough of these!!! I’ve always been a fan of the fabric flower (ode to Carrie B) but have you seen these?! You can decorate your reception table, dress your groom and your bridesmaids while strutting your own in your hair, on your dress and in your hands! AH! All categories on site are worth a click-thru.

Oh-so girlie and romantic! Martha’s wedding team has done it again. It’s like Paris, candy, vintage and girlie all wrapped up in one! And the images are to.die.for. Click link above to see all images.

Thanks Brieanne for passing this fab find to me! Such a sweet way of documenting who was at your wedding…a thumbprint wedding tree. Really…there’s no need to say anymore. A must see here.

Well if Disney/Pixar movies and Avatar didn’t lead the way, these fantastic 3D decoder glasses save-the-dates will! I’m going to go ahead and declare this techie trend now because these are just to.die.for! Guess what??? The bride did everything herself, now that’s some flashback diy! Link to more above.

After squeaking in excitement from viewing these images, it all came to me…these secret weddings, elopements and smaller weddings seem to be popping up more than usual. I’ve even photographed more in the last few months than ever. So this post isn’t just about showing the most adorable secret wedding (you’ll die when you see the details) in Central Park but proving that these intimate affairs are on the rise in 2010! You can probably thank the budgets and appreciation for intimate romantic settings for this trend ;)

Videos are all the rage. But now, videos have entered the wedding world. I have to admit, it takes some special skills to make it look just right (there are plenty not-so-good ones out there, so look into hiring a videographer – some even include it in their packages these days!). A trend that started in 2009, will go all out in 2010. Added bonus is that it’s eco-friendly! Check out some of my favs here, here, here, here.

::Swoon:: Not only do I absolutely drool over the work of Annabel and Dorothée, but take note of this couple’s elegant and charming wedding attire. Patterned, charcoal gray suit, yes please. Knee-length wedding dress with fabulous detail, yes please. Trend of 2010, better be!! Check out more from this wedding here.

2009 was a HUGE year for wedding trends especially for the hip, indie bride! Not only did the diy train take-off later in the year, but I think the handmade artisans and crafters led the whole way! I’m definitely one of ‘their’ biggest fans and supporters. Indie artisans keep on rocking into 2010 and beyond! Check out the rest of the favorite indie artisans here. Please include your favorites in the comments, let’s share and mingle!
ps – come see me at the first ever Indie Wed on Jan. 30th in Chicago! If all goes well, maybe it will make it’s way to San Francisco soon!
