Well hello everyone!  The blog crickets are in full force, but that’s what happens when I travel!  I depart from Chicago today and fly on over to St. Louis for a fantastic wedding on Saturday…then it’s finally time to head back home to San Francisco.  But I just had to share the oh-so fabulous wedding of Lauren and Brandon!  If it’s not Lauren’s giddy smiles that win you over, it will for sure be the rainy romance that we experienced that day.  Fall was crisp in the air, and the history of their love kept all of us warm and fuzzy.   (more…)

AH! Totally screaming over these!  I wish more couples used cake stands for their weddings.  I understand that a wedding cake feeding over 100 people may not fit on this adorable vintage inspired cake stand by Clara French but maybe consider  inviting less people?! Cupcakes are here to stay and THAT makes me happy :)  Flipping through the latest issue of Martha Stewart Weddings, I found an amazing couple spreads of mouth-watering cupcake ideas.  Three tier cupcakes?! Um, yum!

Gorgeous right?  St. Louis based couple Marisa & Tony decided to have a destination wedding in my favorite place…San Francisco!  Many bay area residents know that the city name of SF lends to many different surrounding regions :)  So let me specify, their lovely ceremony took place in the hills of Oakland and reception in the oh-so wonderful Sonoma Valley…come see! I don’t know if this post’s inspiration came from the delicious veggie burrito I had last night or what?! Yummy!  But the trend reports conquer!  2009 is all about the tangy, spicy, savory, exotic tastiness of your wedding cocktail hors d’oeuvres.  So watch out crab cakes and mini burgers – bold sippy soups, chilled tofu, and asian-infused wraps are fighting for the platters carried by the server’s hands! I was reminded of how playful and whimsical cotton candy was while on my trip to Las Vegas.  Our hotel had a great buffet including a fabulous dessert bar with pink cotton candy!  I love the pastel colors and fluffiness!  Dessert tables have become very common at weddings, so why not add a fun sweet treat like cotton candy!  On the left – pink cotton candy inside zig-zag Container Store holders.  On the right – custom dyed cotton candy spun around rock candy.  Here are some more great ideas… (more…)

Wow!  I can’t even begin to tell you how much fun I had shooting Liz and Mike’s big wedding day in Chicago!  And of course, I’ve picked out way too many favorites to show and couldn’t edit them down!  The lovely couple gave me an incredible amount of creative freedom with my photography, which is always nice – thank you :)  I hope you enjoy it as much as I did… (more…)
