I first spotted these charming drinking jars at The Collection Event Studio in Sonoma, and I’ve been dreaming about them ever since! Why it’s taken me so long to chat about ACME Party Boxes…well I don’t know, but it’s quite genius! Their mission is to give party-throwers a sustainable, reusable and fair way to throw a party (“Parties good, Trash bad!”) whether it be for kids or adults. I’m in love with their concept and even more in love with their products. You’ll find options for favors, tableware, bunting, linens, lighting and centerpieces all for kids and adult parties! Yay for another Bay Area business doing us proud ;)

It feels like 99.9% of wedding dresses are strapless, am I right? And don’t get me wrong, sometimes a strapless neckline is nice. But I know there are several of you out there that love a fabulously designed dress with sleeves. It’s something different, often more flattering but not the easiest to find. So what’s a gal to do? Loving the look of layers on a wedding day. Romantic, frothy and flowy capelets (also under boleros, shrugs, cover-ups) offer some added coverage with a touch of pretty glam! From couture to handmade, you can’t deny a dreamy accessory! Added bonus? Skip that veil because they add creative texture and movement for your wedding day photos!

Yay!! I was ecstatic when Amanda emailed me announcing her new venture! We know how lovely vintage is, but we also know how painful it is for a pocketbooks, especially when planning a wedding. While services have been popping up all over the country, the Bay Area can finally say it has an official vintage rental place for weddings! (one would think we’d have this already huh?) “As a bride planning her own vintage-inspired wedding, I was frustrated by the lack of resources available for me in the Bay Area. After collecting vintage furniture and decor for years, I knew where to go to find awesome vintage pieces, I just didn’t want to pay an arm and a leg for decor that I was only going to use for a few hours (turns out I have an obsession with antique farm tables, and those don’t come cheap!) One day I thought to myself: “why isn’t there someone who rents this stuff out?!” Realizing that other brides were probably feeling the same way, I decided to share my collection with other Bay Area brides…and thus One True Love Vintage Rentals was born!

As the first Bay Area company to specialize in vintage furniture and decor rentals for weddings, we’re incredibly excited to provide local brides with an easy and affordable way to add swoon-worthy vintage decor to their weddings, bridal showers, and engagement shoots. Happy Monday and Christmas week! Last night, I went into full-force baby shower planning mode. I’m hosting a friend’s co-ed baby shower in February. Somewhat a surprise now, I’ll be sure to share the paper/decor goodies process as it comes. Of course, I found something fabulous while hunting for all things stripes. Polka dot paper party straws!! My Jman has started Sincerely, Dapper – Handwriting for the Dapper-Minded to cater to the modern people/couples who appreciates streamlined lettering with a mid century flair. Trained and currently working as an architect; Sincerely, Dapper hopes to spark an interest in a seemingly old yet classic craft. Recently featured on Green Wedding Shoes! Dreamy, dreamy, dreamy!! Caroline and Andres’s wedding was simply that. All the elements of a perfect wedding day mashed together and  the best part – these two were just beaming at one another! Best yet, my dream of photographing at Beltane Ranch in Sonoma with the most fantastical couple came true.
