As mentioned in yesterday, things were a little crazy busy at Indie Wed so I failed to meet all the vendors and take their photo, bummer! But I managed to snap a few favorites close by. Be sure to check out yesterday’s post to check out more of my favorite wedding vendors! Above: the cutest cake toppers in the whole wide world by The Small Object! She had to CUTEST marketing materials! (more…)

Whew!!! Where am I, who am I and what time is it?!?! Flew back home to San Francisco yesterday and it’s been nonstop catch up today. I’ve barely showered! What a BLAST this past weekend was, and I can’t express enough how adorable all the Indie Wed vendors where! Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to see everyone’s booth or meet them for that matter….guess that’s what happens when you have over 1000 people walk through. Anyone else feel like a chicken with their head cut off? Wish I could have taken more photos of the whole event, but I didn’t even use the restroom that day…you get my point :) Btw, feel free to link your photos in the comments! (more…)

The wedding I currently have in my post-production inspired this one! Since the days of rice throwing, weddings really haven’t had much action in the exit confetti department. Sure, it’s a hassle – from clean up, to wasteful and wedding budget-cuts…exit confetti has seen better days. As a photographer seeking action in my shots, confetti is a great way to add a little emotional punch to your wedding exit (ya it has historical tradition too). You can purchase biodegradable confetti here and here. You can also create your own with unique punch-outs or my favorite idea from dried herbs (lavender being most popular)!! Oooo la la! You can even sew cute little sachets with vintage fabric to add a colorful pop to hands of the aisle guests. I love this couple’s alternative with paper airplanes! Now you have no excuse :)

Happy Monday everyone! Hope your weekend went well. I was super excited when Vana contacted me about some product photography tips last week. Her design work is amazing! Silhouettes have been a wedding and design trend for the past couple years and still going strong! She also does custom silhouettes (couples & families) and sells cufflinks, invitations, paper goodies, lockets, etc! Check out her link above and etsy shop, you’ll love it!

Peculiar Pair Press…now that’s a tongue twister! I’m in love with the patterns, textures, colors and fonts hitting the wedding invitation scene. This collage of paper goodness is totally a trend of 2009 and will roll-over into 2010! Read more from this fabulous San Francisco duo (Amy & Mary) and about the picnic in the park wedding.
