I realize that most of the country is getting hit by snow but here in SF it sure feels like spring! Spring cleaning itch! This week I had the pleasure of photographing a very charming small wedding affair in St. Helena (just north of Napa). I have to admit, while it’s easy to label it an elopement because this couple whisked away to wine country from Texas…they did bring their immediate family. Well hello everyone!  The blog crickets are in full force, but that’s what happens when I travel!  I depart from Chicago today and fly on over to St. Louis for a fantastic wedding on Saturday…then it’s finally time to head back home to San Francisco.  But I just had to share the oh-so fabulous wedding of Lauren and Brandon!  If it’s not Lauren’s giddy smiles that win you over, it will for sure be the rainy romance that we experienced that day.  Fall was crisp in the air, and the history of their love kept all of us warm and fuzzy.   (more…)

I am beyond words!  Remy and Kevin decided to tie the knot in San Francisco – in a sweet, small and stylish manner. The day couldn’t have gone any more perfect! The wedding I currently have in my post-production inspired this one!  Since the days of rice throwing, weddings really haven’t had much action in the exit confetti department. Sure, it’s a hassle – from clean up, to wasteful and wedding budget-cuts…exit confetti has seen better days. As a photographer seeking action in my shots, confetti is a great way to add a little emotional punch to your wedding exit (ya it has historical tradition too). You can purchase biodegradable confetti here and here.  You can also create your own with unique punch-outs or my favorite idea from dried herbs (lavender being most popular)!! Oooo la la!  You can even sew cute little sachets with vintage fabric to add a colorful pop to hands of the aisle guests.  I love this couple’s alternative with paper airplanes!  Now you have no excuse :)
