Hope everyone enjoyed their extended weekend! I’m super excited to FINALLY show you the diy pop-up baby shower invitations I made (with the help of custom silhouettes by Le Papier Studio and modern calligraphy by Sincerely, Dapper) for our special friends. I’ll be hosting the event in Chicago on a Sunday after I photograph a fantastic winter wedding ;) Being our friends first little one (nicknamed Baby Kiwi), I really wanted to make it memorable with a special theme: Polar Pop-Up Potluck! (hint hint, it’s in Chicago during February). The whole thing will be diy at a modern floral shop space. Yes, I’ll have plenty of pics to show you next month, lots and lots of details! For now, take a peek of the invitation (resources listed at the end)! (more…)
Friday Greetings! I had a lovely pampering session at my salon’s holiday party this afternoon. Good chit-chat, food and Aveda products, yes please. I, also, found out that the cutie pie that I spoke to every time I went in or made an appt with, Molly, is a graphic designer by trade. Her envelope security liner holiday cards are not to miss, and I fell in love with her alphabet poster! Did you know she was voted 7×7 Magazine’s favorite Bay Area Etsy store? Where have I been?! Find out more about Molly here and be sure to stop by her booth at the Indie Bazaar – Holiday on Sunday, December 19th from 11-6pm @Brief Space (2nd floor Metreon). I’ll be there! PS – she does custom wedding invitations and consulting for wedding styling!
Part two of my October photoshoot with Cheree Berry Paper at your service! I can’t wait to see their shiny new site come together. Lots of fantastic shots of their invitations, announcements, a cute-as-a-button model and one of my drooling favs; paper odds & ends (consisting of paper bags, flags, tags, lollipop stands, garland, confetti, maps, fans, stickers). Big fat gold stars to the whole team for a successful shoot! (more…)
Happy Cyber Sale Monday! I’ve never been one to go crazy over the post Thanksgiving sales…actually makes me nauseous thinking about it. Yikes! But I hope you had an amazing time with friends, family or maybe that much needed getaway during the turkey holiday. Finally sharing some of the work from my second photoshoot in October for Cheree Berry Paper’s new website (if you need cute holiday cards see here)! Don’t want to spoil, so just know that we had a blast working with our lovely model for their website’s category vignettes. You’ll have to wait to see those on their site! Part One today! Part Two tomorrow! (more…)
It’s August already, can you believe it?! This month, my Jman turns the big 3-0! I am throwing him a Mad Men style bash at a swanky, vintage and super teeny restaurant/lounge in downtown San Francisco. We have family and friends coming in town to join the rest of our SF folks to celebrate in style (no longer a surprise ;). While I love saving a tree, this occasion seemed perfect for a little diy paper invitation! Check out the rest… (more…)
Eeek of cuteness! I love it when textures combine and form greatness! The patterned fabric trend has grown to be a huge favorite in the wedding decor world aka tablecloths. But fabric sleeves for invitations?!?! I love it so much, I need to sit down. See more here.
Adorable. Absolutely ooozing with cuteness. Go to the link above to see the full book by the 6 year old who wrote and illustrated it (aka the groom). Huge trend of 2010 – making things personal and handmade!
Someone passed this amazing diy wedding invitation along to me, and I just had to share!! One of the sweetest wedding invitations I have seen in a long time. The catch? It was from 2008! Ahead of the game Jill and Matt! I love that it tells a story, get your tissues out :)
