A sneak peek of the (new!) The Collection Event Studio – Northern Cali’s premier talent and resource treasure trove for creatives in the event and wedding industries. In support of wedding event designers, photographers and other vendors – the studio functions as a vibrant inspiring space with a boutique appeal. Keep your pretty eyes peeled for special upcoming events at the studio – trunk shows, wedding/bridal parties, industry mingling events, and all kinds of industry-savvy affairs to come. I had the pleasure of photographing how the space can be utilized for the fine event designer folks, lovely design teams Sitting in a Tree and Enjoy Events Co. crafting it up! More about The Collection Event Studio at their website.
Goodbye flags and hello fringe! Loving the textures and concepts of the parties using fringe. The perfect way to add a playful vibe to your party or wedding decor. Hang it, drape it, wrap it, cover it – the options are endless. Be sure to visit the the links above…Jordan has a diy crepe paper fringe tutorial!
It’s the one detail that isn’t thought of much but can be a game changer in the decor details department on your big day…to wrap your bouquet or not? I’m loving both wrapped and not (long stem bouquets), however, when a unique material is used or pretty brooch/pin is added it just adds a little bit more pretty to the flowers. I’ve had brides that pinned their family’s brooch or jewelry to carry something old, so sweet! Do you have any favorite materials or bouquet decor ideas?
Hello darlings! I’m delighted to share photos from my shoot with Megan and Emily of Enjoy Events Co.! We all know visuals are everything especially for a website and especially in the styling and event industry. So when the ladies asked me to help them out, I knew it’d be 1) super fabulously fun and 2) a way to knock people’s socks off with M&E personality on their new site! So go check out their site here for cuteness and if you’re looking for whimsical wedding styling! (more…)
Happy Friday! If you haven’t noticed already…things look a bit different around here. Welcome to the new me! Did you see my new business cards here? The official launch of my new portfolio site launched a couple days ago and a girl can’t launch and not throw a party to celebrate! So I quickly planned a little carnival-meets-glam shindig at the offices behind my genius design & website – Asketic SF! I can’t even describe how in love I am with the whole look, and they totally nailed the pin on the donkey right? Thank you to everyone who came out and showed support, much love to you! Big thanks to Sarah for taking all the fun photos you see on my new website! Dive into more pics… (more…)
Things feel crazy! It’s always the small to-dos on my list that hover over my mental state (yay for my new website launch soon!). But here’s a little bow tie happiness to lighten the mood! I recently had the pleasure of photographing Upper French’s bow ties for their new website. You’ll definitely want your lova to wear one of these patterned ties to spice things up. Be sure to check out all the oh-so cute patterns on their site! Enjoy! (more…)
Happy Friday! We had such a good time hosting our little creative shindig at Eel & Ermine last night! Thanks to everyone who came out! The crowd was lively, sweet and super refreshing. I wish we had a 15 minute speed dating cycle to actually look all of our guests in the eye and meet them! But that just means we’ll have to throw another right??? Enjoy Events Co. designed the details & cohosted the event with me, Chewing the Cud designed our invitation flyer, Natalie Bowen Designs provided whoa-factor floral arrangements, Bachman Sparrow handmade our rope bracelet favors, Dynamo Donuts & Spencer-on-the-Go food truck supplied yummy eats! SF creatives, you rock! (more…)
A new me! Well, not necessarily a new me but a rebirth of my photography services is coming soon! This is just a peek of what’s to come with my new portfolio website and blog! Whoot Whoot! BIG THANKS to Asketic SF & Cheree Berry Paper for making my business cards look and feel like a million bucks! Details: 2×2 inch blush and soft white duplexed paper (super thick maybe #220) with a coral-ish edging, backside warm gray letterpress, front side gold foil stamp goodness of my own signature. YES! What do you think??
What a nice little surprise to start my day off! Our delightful gelato themed bridal shower is featured on Ruffled, yay! Such a pleasure working with the ladies of Enjoy Events Co., Eel & Ermine, La Fleuriste, Wiley Valentine, One True Love Vintage, our makeup artist Alifa and lovely models! We wanted to create a springy, colorful and tasty party for the ‘bride-to-be’ and I think our style shoot did just that. From diy tissue flowers, color dipped wooden spoons, custom paper goods, vivid poppy flowers against the clean, white environment of a vintage San Francisco apartment. Big thanks to Brieanne of Chalk + Dot for letting us crash her dining room! Be sure to check out all the yummy images over at Ruffled here! And you may recognize one of these images from Daily Candy’s Wedding Advice from Our Favorite Bloggers article here, hehe! (more…)
On Tuesday, I had a delightful outing with friends! SF kids are on spring break this week so I decided to give these little ladies a basic lesson in photography while they documented our walk with disposable cameras. Super fun and refreshing! We grabbed lunch while they waited for photos to print then we crafted photo accordion albums for life-long keepsakes! Of course, I had to photograph them as they captured life on our sunny day.
