Morning! I had the pleasure of photographing the fine ladies of Alison Events and their spiffy Potrero Hill office space recently. All kinds of goodness happening! Thanks for being such amazing (and cute!) sports ladies! Be sure to check out more photos on their blog here. (more…)
A little bit a of sun and warm temps, and I’m all about spring! Very lucky to be living in San Francisco…yes, the fog can be dreary, but I remind myself what it’s like everyone else in the country and I stop ;) How about a little cozy relief for your guests to sit under during your wedding cocktail hour or dinner? Fabric canopies offer a whimsy and casual way to comfort a sometimes stiff event. Overhead sails, yes please.
I posted about Ribbons & Rust here – another fantastic place to rent vintage goods for your wedding or photoshoot. But yowza, Found is deliciousness! Lots of furniture, dishes, chairs, knick-knacks….basically anything you could imagine, Found has it! This business concept really makes sense, and I am happily reminded of that on a daily basis. Hmmmm, ideas are rolling….
Hope everyone enjoyed their extended weekend! I’m super excited to FINALLY show you the diy pop-up baby shower invitations I made (with the help of custom silhouettes by Le Papier Studio and modern calligraphy by Sincerely, Dapper) for our special friends. I’ll be hosting the event in Chicago on a Sunday after I photograph a fantastic winter wedding ;) Being our friends first little one (nicknamed Baby Kiwi), I really wanted to make it memorable with a special theme: Polar Pop-Up Potluck! (hint hint, it’s in Chicago during February). The whole thing will be diy at a modern floral shop space. Yes, I’ll have plenty of pics to show you next month, lots and lots of details! For now, take a peek of the invitation (resources listed at the end)! (more…)
Yay! So excited to be featured on Grey Likes Weddings with Caroline & Andre’s Beltane Ranch wedding! Summer’s blog is polished, clean and fresh…lovelovelovelove! A big thanks to my fab 2nd shooter Jenna for helping with the fabulousness (btw, if you need a fashion photog she’s definitely your gal). Be sure to check out the whole feature here. THANKS!
Lots of creative ideas swarming the wedding blogs the past couple years. But it seems lately, vendors are styling photo shoots geared around winter, and I like it. Winter weddings get a bad rap (maybe because it’s FREEZING!). But if done right with a bit of coziness, it can be extremely romantic and unique. And because we are seeing more and more charming ideas based around indoor and outdoor winter weddings, I see winter 2011 and 2012 experiencing more company!
Gentlemen! Spring is (well, will be) on it’s way, which means wedding season will be here soon. What’s hot and happening in men’s spring 2011 fashion you ask? Pattern! What’s also nice to see? More colors in suits! Tobacco brown is in and don’t let that pocket square go bare! What will your groom be wearing? See more of the trends listed… (more…)
Next holiday up?! Valentine’s Day! Le Papier Studio asked me to style and photograph the new letterpress silhouette card line a couple months back. And now they are up for sale just in time for your lovey-dovey juices to start flowing! You can purchase here and be sure to check out more photos from the shoot (loving the balloon card!)… (more…)
Yum! Candy, cupcakes, pies, whoopie pies, ice cream sundaes move over…the float is here! Root beer floats are making a comeback, and I like it. I was always a fan of Coke floats too. Serve them up at a wedding dessert table or as minis passed around, they will be sure to please!
