Pretty a-m-a-z-i-n-g right?! I had a meeting with one of my brides this past Friday. One of her questions was, “I am trying incorporate my Iranian/Chinese and fiance’s Jewish backgrounds - do you know who, where, how I should get a chuppah?” Excellent question! Wedding ceremonies are full of mixed religions and traditions these days, even couples who don’t practice the Jewish faith still have a chuppah because of what it represents. (more…)
Just a quick shout out to the two new Martha blogs I think you’ll enjoy!

It’s portrait time! With the weather getting warmer (ok, I’m only wishing in Chicago), it’s time to refresh your photos! Not to mention, spring break is approaching which is a perfect time to schedule some fun photos. It’s important to invest in professional photographs every once in a while. Book and schedule your portrait session before April 15 and receive a $25 print credit – that’s free prints!
My portrait philosophy and goal is to capture my subject in the most comfortable environment. Whether that’s your little one eating ice cream in the backyard or your pup running through the mud, natural moments lead to natural smiles and behaviors! Sessions last 1 to 1.5 hours in your favorite location. Kids, babies and pets welcome! Pass the word along!

Please tell me you’ve seen the commercials for this product?!?! While my mouth expressed weirdness and well…laughter, the gadget is quite clever! I’m always looking for new hair products to pump up the locks, but this seems like a reusable way to do it! Yes, I giggled like a school girl and still contemplate a purchase, but if you are on a budget crunch with your wedding this is a great way to bump that hair up…yup, I just said it. Check out the link above.

On Fridays (well, ok I admit almost everyday) I try and play catch up on my fav blogs. Looks like Apartment Therapy and it’s other design related sections received a face lift! Green Home is now Re-Nest, and while reading up on how to make my poorly sealed windows more energy efficient, I came across myself! My photo above was featured in a eco-friendly article about plates from Tuesday. You can see my post about it here.

Yay for Friday! And yay, for my new business card! Bernadette (Elenteny Designs) dropped them off last night, and I’m SO in love with them :) I’m glad she suggested a square card and one focus color – it really makes the impression pop! Yes, I did make this photo a little larger than most posts…I had to show it off! Enjoy your weekend.

Phindy Studios – amazing photos of this wedding! Now, on to the bridesmaid attire here. Wow, I’m always looking to find refreshing bridesmaid dress ideas and honestly, they are hard to come by! The dress is always popular, but I love the pencil skirt, bright colored sash and shirt. So fun, flirty and classy! The 2009 bridesmaid dress trend is all about the cocktail, ‘night out’ style. Giving your bridesmaid’s the ability to rewear pieces even better! Check out the rest of the post by clicking the TBC link above.

I’m always looking forward to Decor8′s Etsy Take Five Tuesdays. I was a bit busy yesterday to catch up on my readings but hello Wednesday! Sorry to be repetitive, as I’m sure you check out her blog daily as well…but holly moley! I.am.in.love – Kim Ludy is the creative genius behind these collage pieces. Check out both links above. Bridal party gift, I think so.

Welcome Monday! And wow, do I have the case of the Mondays. We had family in town for a last minute visit this weekend, always nice to see them! Lauren (my man’s sister – visit her etsy shop, Staunch knits) joined me on my Saturday adventure. Over the snow and through the blizzard, to the Paper Source Wedding Workshops we go… (more…)
