I feel like I should add the word ‘budget’ to all future trends of 2009 posts! Yes, we are all aware of what the economy is doing right now, it’s not good. But that still doesn’t mean that you can’t enjoy an incredible honeymoon!! You just have to be smart about it and plan accordingly…road trip anyone? (more…)
How to explain a photographer that doesn’t like photos of herself? Ha! I don’t mind being in front of the camera, I just don’t like to know about it :) I don’t remember being like this all the time so I’m going to blame it on getting older. I was in much need of more recent photos of myself and wanted them to be as natural as possible while hiding my shyness! (more…)
I’ve been wanting to do this for a while now and just now am getting around to it. I loved Kristen’s on-going posts about beauty (wedding and personal), and I think it’s totally worth sharing. If you read her blog already, sorry for the repeats! But if you don’t, definitely check out these posts. Interesting, inspiring and informational! I recommend Getting Fit & the first several posts of Beauty. And if you are bride-to-be, definitely read them!
Oh Brieanne, I love it when you send me these things :) Etsy’s blog featured a story about handmade wedding gift registries, come read it. Trend of 2009, yes please.
Morning! You’ll find a cute little photo that I took of one of my favorite florist spaces in Chicago in the March issue of CS Magazine on stands now (or free stands on certain corners). Page 48 to be exact. Unfortunately, there’s been a hiccup and no photo credit was given. I’ve been told that an apology and credit would be mentioned in the April issue. You’d think magazines would have a better grip on these issues…nonetheless, yay for Dilly Lily!
I was out with a migraine for most of the day yesterday, and I’m playing catch up today :) I have some new bio photos to share with you that my lovely friend Lindsay took, more of those next week. Here’s a sneak peek of what happened to me halfway through – a little birdie gift from the skies :) Enjoy the warm weather across the nation, happy weekend!
Pretty a-m-a-z-i-n-g right?! I had a meeting with one of my brides this past Friday. One of her questions was, “I am trying incorporate my Iranian/Chinese and fiance’s Jewish backgrounds – do you know who, where, how I should get a chuppah?” Excellent question! Wedding ceremonies are full of mixed religions and traditions these days, even couples who don’t practice the Jewish faith still have a chuppah because of what it represents. (more…)
It’s portrait time! With the weather getting warmer (ok, I’m only wishing in Chicago), it’s time to refresh your photos! Not to mention, spring break is approaching which is a perfect time to schedule some fun photos. It’s important to invest in professional photographs every once in a while. Book and schedule your portrait session before April 15 and receive a $25 print credit – that’s free prints!
My portrait philosophy and goal is to capture my subject in the most comfortable environment. Whether that’s your little one eating ice cream in the backyard or your pup running through the mud, natural moments lead to natural smiles and behaviors! Sessions last 1 to 1.5 hours in your favorite location. Kids, babies and pets welcome! Pass the word along!
