So I was doing a little web style shopping this morning (yes I do shop at Paper Source!) and had one of those ‘wait a second…’ moments! Ha! I came across some photos I shot for Paper Source a few weeks ago. My shots featured here are the ones in the banner/header of each page. There could be more online but these are the ones I came across first. I have yet to see the holiday catalog that I shot for…I’ve been told it may or may not come out. That’s how the business goes – some photos make it, others don’t :) But I will keep you posted…I thought these would be fun to share! (more…)
The fashion runways walked it and the bridal magazines made it official – gray is the new brown for weddings in 2009! While I still love brown and you should too…gray switches the color palette to cooler tones. It’s one of my personal favs :) Even though gray is a cool tone, it doesn’t mean you can’t spice it up! There are a wide variety of color combinations you can chose from but the added bonus with this trend….is that you can mix and match colors that you never thought would go! Brights, pastels, monochromatic – you can’t go wrong. And keep in mind, gray comes in all tones and variations such as a lavender or pewter (adding a touch of purple or blue to it). So think out of the box!! My fav new combo – lavender and red! More color combinations… (more…)
I can’t count how many times I’ve watched groomsmen try to figure out the diagram of pocket square fold given to them from the rental company! And eventually, either me or my other photographer fix it for them! So here are some helpful instructions for ALL occasions of wearing a pocket square - It’s Hip to Wear Squares.
Whether it’s marzipan, fondant or real it’s all about nature in 2009. The trend started appealing many in 2008 but is in full swing this upcoming year. I’ll talk more about your wedding flowers in another post but anything funky happening in mother earth’s land is happening in weddings! Also, exotic fruit and organic cake flavors will be huge. Pomegranate, blueberry, lemon along with pistachio… (more…)
AMAZING NIGHT! Obama wins, and I witnessed it. What an incredible historical event to experience, words can’t describe. I just got home from the rally and it’s late, so I won’t write much….but wow. It was so great to share this evening with good friends and hundreds of thousands upon thousands of supporters of change. (more…)
Don’t think I need to say anything else :) While we patiently wait for our life changing answer….check out some wedding dress picks from Autumnslings via Etsy (expires Wednesday afternoon).
