Jessica & Jeffrey’s Vintage Boho Glam Wedding

Edyta's Real Weddings — Edyta @ 8:30 PM

Most of my couples work in the creative field or in the arts, if not, appreciate it deeply. It’s amazing to see how a couple’s vision comes together for a wedding day! And this was just one of those weddings! With so many wedding themes and styles out there…it’s wonderful when all of the styles mix and really reflect the couple’s personalities. A combining of soil ceremony ritual, delightfully sweet friends, musically talented parents (her dad composed and played the piano before their first dance), carefree dancing guests and the most glam heels and neckpiece I’ve ever seen definitely meant a unique and charming wedding in the glowing sun of Carmel Valley. Enjoy the sneak newlyweds! (more…)

Christine and Jordan are quite the dapper duo!! Not only did they have amazing families and friends, but Palm Springs is such a special place :) Just three months prior to their wedding, Jared and I tied the knot in this magical resort town as well. Something about the light, palm trees, pool, mountain views, a fab drink in hand and the memories!! I had such a hard time editing these images down to just a few (ok a ton) sneak peeks! You’re a beautiful couple with wonderful people in your life! Happy wedding! Enjoy the sneak peek! (more…)

Who wouldn’t love to spend the weekend around incredible friends and family deep in a redwood forest to celebrate love?! Sarah and Hunter did just that. Gathering their nearest and dearest, everyone stayed on-site in the cutest A-Frame cabins surrounding by the smells and sights of our Northern California forest. They gathered at the most adorable barn and danced the night away! Many sweet memories were made…I especially like when the best man karaoke’d to the couple during his toast! Such a sweet moment. Many MANY congratulations you two!! Enjoy your sneak peek! (more…)

Hello Friday! I’m so very excited to share this special wedding sneak peek with you! Random rain storms in September had us all a little worried about Susan and Ben’s gatsby meets rustic outdoor wedding. But lots of praying to rain gods and quick team work, we got this wedding under way in no time! Go team! It’s always such a pleasure to work with couples with fantastic imaginations and creativity. A real dream come true. I secretly have a lady crush on Susan :) Her energy is magnifying and really inspirational, it’s incredible to have witnessed the bond of her and Ben. Not only did they vow to each other, but they wrote a vow to their guests. From their personal style, family energy, warm friends, fun desserts, paper crown wearing guests, food truck dinner, epic piñata party  to their generous spirits, this is what wedding days are all about. Magic. Did I mention their phenomenal theme and hashtag?! #tildeathdousparty Enough of the gushing, I invite you to check out their sneak peek! Enjoy! Special thanks to Melanie, my right-hand photo lady for the day. (more…)

Amy & Phil’s Moon Mountain Retreat Sonoma Wedding

This 30 guest wedding holds a special place in my heart. Not only do I know the bride and her officiant (who’s her bestie) through the photography industry, but their special day reminded me so much of how Jared and I hope our wedding is next year. Quaint, emotional in every way and set in an absolutely beautiful location with your absolute best friends and family. From the first moment Phil saw Amy walk down the stairs (we all bawled btw), he went after her to say hello and they walked down the aisle together. Their best friend, who knows just what to say when, marrying them under the glow of the streamers and Sonoma air. The mother of the groom’s teacup (from her bridal set) held their rings and was passed around to each wishing guest. Lots of happy tears, phenomenal cocktails and most romantic dinner setting under a  draping canopy. Every detail was incredibly thoughtful and beyond swoon-worthy. Handmade linens with incredible neon seams and a ladies craft night fulfilled the painted jar centerpieces. Ah, sigh…I love my job. Enjoy the sneak peek! (more…)

Rachel & Howard’s Carnival Meets Historic Farm Wedding

Edyta's Real Weddings — Edyta @ 3:21 PM

Based on their engagement session, I knew Rachel and Howard would bring it on their wedding day :) Both designers and work for super fun San Francisco companies, they really went all out with some amazing details. The ‘yay’ sign is my all time favorite, and I can’t believe Howard made it himself! And can you believe Rachel designed their wedding invitations?! Talent. Pops of bright colors, smiley cheeks and the rustic charm of the historic farm entertained their guests all night. Thanks to my right-hand photo lady Kara! Enjoy your sneak peek! (more…)

Danaka & Jason’s Spring Wedding at Holman Ranch

Stormy skies, light sprinkles, huge hearts. I can honestly say that the entire guest list was one big melting pot of love! The perfect balance of NYC city spirit, rustic cowboy aesthetics and beautiful California ranch-style hills, this wedding was nothing short of special. Danaka and Jason were beyond delightful to photograph, game for anything and definitely worked the camera. I couldn’t believe Danaka did all the florals! Gorgeous bouquet! I’m going to quit chit-chatting here and let you gawk at the images (watch out there are lots!) yourself! Always a big thank you to my wonderful right-hand lady Kara! Enjoy! (more…)

Shelley & Chris’s Romantic Spring Wedding The Lodge at Sonoma

Photos: Edyta Szyszlo

Whoot! It’s Friday and boy do I have a lovely wedding to show you! Shelley and Chris – a sparky yet sweet, super intelligent yet funny, grand’ole time of a couple. We had a blast during their engagement session in North Beach, view here. So I knew their wedding would be nothing short of greatness. Equal parts wine country rustic and charmingly modern, we played in the amazing rose gardens of property, vogued it out at a sweet white barn down the road, stuffed our faces and danced until the stars went to bed. They even had a poetry booth and a sparkler exit! As always, mega thanks to my right-hand photo lady Kara. Congratulations you two!! Enjoy the sneak! (more…)

Taylor & Joey’s Garden Glam Meets Bar-b-que Wedding

Photos: Edyta Szyszlo

Saddle up partners, this one is a doozy of a pretty!! Find MORE pretty over at 100 Layer Cake today, thanks for featuring ladies! These images have been a long time coming (at least that’s what I’ve heard ;)…why? Well, some of you may have heard of Taylor (fashion/lifestyle blogger: Sterling Style & founder of the Glitter Guide, not to mention occasional appearances in the West Elm catalogs and everywhere else). What does a fashion/lifestyle blogger’s wedding look like?! How does she involve her groom’s favorites things you ask? What I loved most were their elements of casual meets glam. Just like their personalities! Nothing stuffy, all smiles, fun and love for these lovebirds. Taylor’s well-rounded planner, Jacin, rocked it out with some amazing florals and details. Our spicy new photobooth snapped away and well, we had a fab time! Big thanks to my right-hand photo lady, Kara!

More from Jacin of lovely little details (she describes it way better than me),

“Taylor and Joey’s wedding was the perfect blend of glam meets backyard bar-b-que. A well-known fashion blogger, Taylor is the voice behind Glitter Guide, an inspirational website for women focused on the latest trends and styles, and she wanted to incorporate her eclectic style in to her wedding. Joey, a Cross Fit trainer and competitor had only one request in the wedding planning process: that BBQ food was served at their garden wedding. Mixing the funky style of fashion with a backyard BBQ was no small feat but what came about on that sunny August day left guests walking away thinking “that was so them.” From gilded BBQ baskets at each table filled with wet naps and bibs carefully tied with golden ribbon to golden stripe straws at the bar to meticulously crafted glitter gelato spoons for the surprise gelato cart that arrived later in the evening (an homage to the couple’s favorite treat!), Taylor & Joey’s wedding was full of meaningful and fun details that really pulled everything together. It is possible to have a backyard affair filled with glam, sparkle, and an ethereal charm – and these two were able to represent not only their own personalities, but also their combined traits as a couple.” (more…)
