Ridiculously romantic. That was Laura and Eric’s wedding theme and let me tell ya, it was just that. Of course, they ooze romance themselves naturally but to translate that into a party can be tough with so many other factors. They were beyond successful. I think the new trend in weddings is the small destination style wedding because of just that. You can’t get anymore intimate than inviting less than 40 of your favorite people in the world to share a meal and dance the night away. Manka’s Inverness Lodge Boathouse is a special place. The light, the vibe and the energy of the guests takes it to another level. One of my favorite weddings of 2014! Can we talk about her light pink dress?!?! (more…)
It’s crazy busy around here! Wedding season is in full swing! I’m showing an oh-so tiny sneak into Jackie and Jeff’s super sweet day. The birds were chirping, the flowers were in full bloom, yummy food trucks…you couldn’t have asked for a better day (ok maybe less wind!)! You guys definitely have a fun crowd, and I still can’t believe you broke out into a flashmob dance…in it to win it! Enjoy this teeny sneak!! (more…)
I’m SUPER stoked to finally see hard work pay off!! I’ve been working on my Succulent Garden Notecards forever it seems! Spring is the perfect time to release this notecard box set of 20 different cards (the backside of each card says the name of the succulent and inside is blank for that perfect handwritten note) and envelopes! You can find these for sale at a few different retailers like Paper Source, Terrain and online at various stores. Or you could go straight to the publisher (thanks Chronicle Books!!) to order them here! (more…)
Such an adorable mini wedding! Julene and Emerson (the cutest names right?) decided to have a teeny ceremony at San Francisco’s City Hall with 4 of their friends, a cupcake exit and rockin outdoor woodland portrait session in the Presidio after. One of the best Mondays ever! They were game for anything. We laughed, made funny faces, tested Emerson’s jumping abilities, ate Kara’s Cupcakes and spent the lovey dovey afternoon carefree. It was so hard to pick my favorites so this post has a bit more than usual ;) Enjoy the sneak! (more…)
Wowza is this a pretty wedding! Slowly but surely I’ll be showcasing the rest of my fabulous weddings from 2012! Some I can’t show completely as they will be featured…but I can sneak a few in. Christine and Fred, what can I say? The sweetest lovebirds on the planet?! Yep. Gentle spirits, low key and full of appreciation for the pretty. We had some of the best wedding vendors in the SF Bay Area collaborating on this super adorable farmhouse chic themed wedding at Clos La Chance Winery. Blush pinks, succulents and FAB textured linens! Thank you Kara for being my right-hand photo woman, you’re a rockstar! Enjoy this incredibly dreamy day! (more…)
A mini cooper for a mini wedding! Anna and Jeret gathered their closest family and friends for a fun loving ceremony at SF City Hall and a yummy lunch reception at Wayfare Tavern. Her parents surprised them with a fun mini cooper to paint the town with! And let’s chat about how adorable Anna’s succulent/air plant bouquet (made by Flora Grubb) and her Jeffrey Campbell wedges are!! What a fun couple – I think they win for most excitement jumps during a wedding. I even included a little family portrait blooper to prove just how fun everyone was! Enjoy the sneak! (more…)
Get ready for GORG! Carol and Seth’s multicultural wedding sneak pops a big punch with soft and cute California details. Relaxed yet still classic, Carol and Seth’s lovey day was full of smiles, hugging and tears of joy! I had such a blast with these two photographing their love shoot that I knew it would be memorable. Their wedding was tucked away in the Santa Cruz Mountains where desert vegetation meets redwoods. Man I love this state and what an incredibly magically place to wed! Thanks to my right-hand woman Jenna! Hold on to your hats as these Chinese, Jewish and California cool traditions collide for this sweet wedding day! (more…)
Yesterday, my lovely and inspiring collaboration wedding shoot was featured on Style Me Pretty! And now I get to share the goodies, finally ;) So today we have part one and tomorrow part two. I worked with a fantastic group of ladies from the Bay Area. You must check out their work and HIRE them for your own wedding! And I’m going to go ahead and call a wedding trend for 2011 – outdoor flea market vintage meets GLAM!
