The lovely Brieanne emailed this strange but delightful tool. A photo conversion tool that allows you to glue and glitter away – even recommending your color palette to ensure accuracy. I’m not quite sure what to gather from it – I love glitter but a glitter photo?! Haha, check out the tool for yourself.

If you know me and know me well…you know that I’m already obsessed with anything photographer Sharon Montrose produces (btw, check out out her husband’s new Etsy shop). But now…now I’m also gawking and totally obsessed with Catherine found via Twig & Thistle! I’m a sucker for prints, especially when used as backdrops, and when you combine that with animals I pretty much fall to the ground. You must see the rest of her work, must.

Sorry to be repetitive, as I’m sure you check out her blog daily as well…but holly moley! I.am.in.love – Kim Ludy is the creative genius behind these collage pieces. Check out both links above. Hello everyone! I am back from some vacation time! Of course, I’ll be playing catch up for a while, but I wanted to share a couple photo ideas for your wedding that I came across. I love the idea of making your wedding feel as intimate as possible and photos do just that. Check out the Photo Screen & Photo Cake. 2009 is about personalizing your wedding as much as possible (although you should anytime.
I’ve got some great posts lined up – traveling always allows me to do reading and research :) Thanks for your patience while I get myself organized!

Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a great weekend! Despite some big storms, I had the pleasure of photographing Jenica and Garrett’s engagement session yesterday! Mother Earth broke the clouds up just in time for our date in downtown Chicago, thanks for being such troopers! They were such a blast to hang out with, and I can’t wait for their wedding day, which downtown Chicago is also hosting in October! (more…)

Ayla is a bit bigger these days as these baby portraits where taken a couple years ago in Missouri. (check out my portfolio, click portraits & 2) I am headed to Missouri for a friend’s wedding (not working!) in the beginning of June and will have another photo session with Ayla and her new sis, Adalyn who will be turning 1 in July! Wow does the time fly! I wanted to share these photos so you could see her ‘then’ and her ‘now’ soon! Can’t wait to see the Quadruplet A’s, as I like to call them (Amos, Ashley, Ayla & Adalyn)! More photos…. (more…)

Tuesday was the 3rd time that I’ve photographed the Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestra! And you thought I just photographed weddings huh? This time was super special because they played for an audience of children from the surrounding Chicago public schools at the South Shore Cultural Center. It was an interactive experience with the conductor asking questions and the kids responding, with a few pieces played in between. Reminded me of my 6 years of playing violin as a child :) It’s sad to hear about schools eliminating or cutting budgets for the arts in schools, I feel it’s incredibly important to involve kids in the arts and humanities. So I was honored to be a part of it. And let me tell you the youth involved in CYSO, sound amazing, extremely talented!! (more…)
